ACCESS GRANTING
Way #1 - Access via the link
1. Go to the file/folder on your Drive.
2. Press the Share button on the right upper corner of the screen.
3. Click on the Copy link under the widow appeared.
BUT: Here are 3 variants, that will limit the link access in different ways:
- Restricted;
- Your organization;
- Anyone with the link.
In order to change them, click on the blue Change title. Choose the suitable variant and set up the access type (access types lower in the article) and don't forget to click Done button.
Way #2 - Access via invitation
1. Go to the file/folder on your Drive.
2. Press the Share button on the right upper corner of the screen.
3. Click on the search bar and enter the email address of the user you want to grant access to in the window appeared.
4. Choose the access type you want to grant access to (access types lower in the article).
5. Click on the blue Send button on the right lower window corner.
ACCESS TYPES
1. Owner - user with the maximal rights that is able to totally manage and control the file/folder.
2. Editor - user that can edit the file, accept and reject proposed edits, and also change the access settings.
3. Commenter - user that can leave comments and propose changes, but has no right to edit the file or share it with someone else.
4. Viewer - fully limited in his/her actions user. He/she can open and view the file, but has no sharing or editing/commenting options.
SPECIAL FEATURES
1. Temporary access - access granting precisely limited in time, which is being set by the access granter. You need:

Go to the file/folder on your Drive.

Press the Share button on the right upper corner of the screen.
- Click on the access type near the exact user.
- Choose the "Give temporary access" option.
- Set up the date and time as needed.
2. File's downloading, printing and copying restriction - this option can't be set up for the folder, but it can be consumed for its separate files. In order to set this option up you need:

Go to the file on your Drive.

Press the Share button on the right upper corner of the screen.
- Click on the cogwheel on the upper right corner of the window appeared.
- Untick the "Viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print and copy" option.
- Save changes.
3. The restriction for other users on changing your file's permissions and share options - only the owner and the editors of the file can change its access options. So as to be the only one to do that you need:

Go to the file on your Drive.

Press the Share button on the right upper corner of the screen.
- Click on the cogwheel on the upper right corner of the window appeared.
- Untick the "Editors can change permissions and share" option.
- Save changes.
